Amplify BC
British Columbia

Amplify is a student-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young individuals with the support and resources fundamental to transforming their ideas into large-scale impact. We empower youth with experiential learning opportunities to get involved, learn about, and take action on social issues outside of the classroom.


Archway Community Services
British Columbia

Archway Community Services provides social services to residents of the Fraser Valley, BC. Their 90+ programs provide food, employment support, mental health resources and more to youth, seniors, families, and newcomers. Services available to youth include after school support to immigrant youth, primary health care, substance use support, counselling, and individual support as needed. Their vision is "justice, opportunities, and equitable access for all."


Asian Community AIDS Services
Ontario

A charitable community-based organization promoting the health and well-being of members of the East and Southeast Asian communities in Toronto and Ontario. We provide sexual health and HIV/AIDS education, psycho-social support to LGBTQ+ youth and adults, and people living with HIV. We work in a holistic manner and under an anti-oppression, sex-positive framework.


Association Franco-Yukonnaise
Yukon

Association Franco-Yukonnaise (AFY) is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 that actively contributes to the vitality of Yukon's Francophone community. On a daily basis, their team prepares unifying events, offers various services and plays the role of official spokesperson for Yukon Francophones. The AFY Youth Service contributes to the development of the French language and culture among French-speaking youth aged 14 to 25 living in the Yukon by offering them personal and social development opportunities to ensure their participation in the development of the Franco-Yukon community.


BYTE: Empowering Youth
Yukon

BYTE is a ‘by youth, for youth’ organization that focuses on empowering and promoting youth throughout the Yukon and Canada’s north. Their mission is to unlock potential through youth empowerment. BYTE's facilitation teams travel to communities throughout the Yukon and to some areas of Northern BC and NWT to deliver innovative and relevant programming. They also host events and workshops in Whitehorse that foster creativity, culture and sport. Everything BYTE does is aimed at helping youth develop confidence, skills, openness, and a sense of belonging.


Boys and Girls Club of Winnipeg

BGC Winnipeg has grown to become one of the city's leading youth-serving agencies, operating in areas across the city that need our services the most for over 40 years. We operate 11 community-based Clubs and numerous youth development programs to our members, offering a safe alternative to the streets during the evening and after-school hours. All of our activities are free of charge, and are guided by professional staff and dedicated volunteers who serve children and youth ages 6-18.

A 10-year project focused on documenting what it means to live a full life. Each year is based around a different theme of research from Happiness, Home, Health, Hiatus, History, Harvest, and Habits. Our goal for the future is to establish a print shop in Whitehorse for youth to learn printmaking and encourage entrepreneurship among young artists.

Edmonton 2 Spirit Society (E2S)
Alberta

E2S has existed since the 90s and has been reignited by younger generations of Two Spirits working with the original founders. They are an intergenerational organization that serves Two Spirit and Indigenous queer and trans people across sectors, their family members, the community members, and help establish opportunities for Two Spirits to hold community shaping power. This made them a natural fit for #RisingYouth grants, they used them to organize bi-weekly Two Spirit Socials. These served as sober gatherings for Two Spirts and their families to craft, dance, participate in ceremony, share meals, and build community through so many ways. Vision: Two Spirit peoples are recognized, respected and engaged in an integral manner, within Indigenous communities and society at large. Mission: To re-establish and enhance our traditional roles and responsibilities as Two Spirit people in Indigenous communities while creating supportive environments within all societies for contemporary Two Spirit peoples.

Elwick Village and Resource Centre is a not for profit organization operated by Family Dynamics that provides resources, supports, and a nurturing environment for families and individuals in the Maples and Seven Oaks neighbourhood in Winnipeg, MB. We promote continuous improvement of the relationships between the community and community organizations.


Eshkiniigjik Naandwechigegamig (ENAGB)

ENAGB focuses on providing cultural, employment, life skills, holistic wellness and recreational opportunities to youth ages 12-29. Programming is designed through youth participation and works to build self-esteem, confidence, skills, and self-determination.


Every Canadian Counts
Ontario

Every Canadian Counts is an advocacy coalition calling the Canadian government to work together to develop a national funding program to ensure essential disability supports are available to all Canadians living with chronic, long-term disabilities. The Coalition includes individuals living with disabilities, caregivers, advocates, and support groups. They aim to inspire youth across Canada to learn more about the disability sector and the struggle people with disabilities face.

Experiences Canada is a national registered charity that helps young Canadians to explore their country in ways they never may have imagined through reciprocal exchanges, forums, conferences and other opportunities to travel and connect with one another.

To empower youth, FES hosts two programs: SDGs LAB, a university and college program educating and training around the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and The Harbour, a youth-for-youth climate support system.

Meadow Lake RCMP Youth Advisory Committee

The Meadow Lake RCMP Youth Advisory Committee (MLRCMPYAC) is comprised of youth from the Meadow Lake Region who work collectively alongside members of the RCMP to address issues that youth face in their community. Working in partnership with local businesses and organizations, the MLRCMPYAC works to promote community safety and wellbeing.


Mental Health Commission of Canada

The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) was formed in 2007 to research and develop strategies to eliminate stigma, advance mental health, and improve access to mental health services for all Canadians. With funding from Health Canada, the MHCC has developed numerous products including the National Strategy for Mental Health, Evergreen, the National Strategy for Youth Mental Health, and the National Strategy for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. HEADSTRONG is an initiative built to inspire youth to become leaders in their schools. HEADSTRONG leaders challenge stigma, raise mental health awareness, and promote mental wellness and early help-seeking.


Mind Your Mind

Mindyourmind exists in the space where mental health, wellness, engagement, and technology meet. We work with community partners and young people aged 14 to 29 to co-create interactive tools and innovative resources to build capacity and resilience.


Non-profit Youth Leadership Network
Alberta

The Non-Profit Youth Leadership Network (NPYLN) allows for youth (aged 16-29) involved in non-profit work to connect, share, and work on professional development skills. Each month, members of this network are provided with various sessions/webinars such as professional development, an organization spotlight, youth panel discussions, as well as a networking session. With a group of youth spanning across Canada, organizations are able to use the NPYLN for promotion and to more easily consult with youth on their ideas and programming.

Northern Arts and Cultural Centre encourages the development of the performing arts from all cultural traditions and provides a venue in the Northwest Territories for community and professionally produced performances.


Okanagan Boys and Girls Club

Boys and Girls Club of Okanagan provides systemic opportunity to all children and youth to help them become their best selves. They focus on four core programming areas: physical activity, health and safety; leadership, growth and empowerment; learning and career development; and family and communities.


Ontario Council for International Cooperation (OCIC)

The Ontario Council for International Cooperation (OCIC) is an expanding community of Ontario-based international cooperation and global citizenship-focused organizations, institutions, and individual associate members committed to working for global social justice, human dignity and participation for all. OCIC encourages the development of the Ontario international development and global education sectors and sharing of resources between OCIC members by providing forums for networking, communications and collaborative reflection and action, and facilitating capacity building in public engagement and organizational development. POSSE Project

POSSE Project is a youth driven, leadership development, harm reduction, and human rights program for youth ages 15-30. They operate in the communities of Sipekne'katik First Nation, Sackville and West Hants, Nova Scotia.


Pictou County Roots For Youth Society
Nova Scotia

Pictou County Roots for Youth is a non-profit organization that helps rural youth end their homelessness. It operates emergency and transitional housing, and also run various youth development programs to help young people move to the next level. It is located in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.

Le Portail de l'Immigrant Association (PIA) is a multicultural association that aims to facilitate the socio-cultural integration of the Francophone community in Calgary. PIA assists Francophone immigrant youth and their families to fulfill their potential in Alberta society.


Rainbow Coalition of Yellowknife

Rainbow Coalition of Yellowknife (formerly known as It Gets Better Yellowknife) is an outreach organization supporting queer youth and their allies in Yellowknife. RCY strives to make Yellowknife a safer, more open and more knowledgeable place for all queer and allied youth.


Recreation and Parks Association of Nunavut

RPAN's vision is to be the leader and voice for promoting healthy and active communities in Nunavut. They aim to enhance the health and wellness of all Nunavummiut through advocating physical activity, sport, and recreation opportunities in Nunavut.


Rexdale Youth Mentorship

Rexdale Youth Mentorship (RXYM) is a Black-led Grassroot Organization. Our vision is to address the systemic and structural barriers plaguing black youth and youth from low-income communities by providing them with equitable life opportunities, for ages 13 and up. We are committed to creating safe spaces for racialized youth to provide them with tangible personal and professional tools to positively support their development into young adulthood. Our services include: Mentorship, Interactive Workshops, Homework and Book Club, Community Events and Donations, Organizational and Professional Consultations.

River of Pride is a non-profit organization for and by LGBTQ+ people based in Moncton, New-Brunswick, Canada. The spaces provide safety for all genders and sexualities and specialize in equity, social change, intersectionality, justice and interdependence.


Rural Development Network
Alberta

Rural Development Network (RDN) supports the sustainability of rural communities and works with communities to amplify the "rural voice". They collaborate to identify and bring focus to rural issues, build local capacity, and find innovative, rural-based solutions to unique issues.


Réseau-Femmes Colombie-Britannique (RFCB)
British Columbia

Réseau-Femmes Colombie-Britannique (RFCB)'s mission is to bring together Francophone women in British Columbia, to represent, promote and defend their rights and interests, and to contribute to their full development. The actions of the organization contribute to the development of a fair and egalitarian society, including the prevention of gender-based violence, which mainly affects people who identify as women.


SPARK Foundation
British Columbia

SPARK's mission is to work to empower the next generation through quality life education. Their MiniSeries workshops for youth include Climate Change Challenge sustainability workshops, post-secondary transition conferences, mental wellbeing and financial literacy workshops.


Sacred Wolf Friendship Centre

The Sacred Wolf Friendship Centre provides support services to aboriginal people in the North Island.


Say ça (Cercle De Soutien Aux Réfugiés)
Québec

Say ça! is a charitable organization aiming to support young refugees and newcomers in their adaptation to their new environment and to help them become active members in their community. The association helps young refugees and immigrants in their school path by offering them a free and individualized weekly tutoring and mentoring service and monthly cultural activities.


Selkirk Friendship Centre
Manitoba

The Selkirk Friendship Centre is a community based non-profit organization with the mission of assisting Indigenous people in adjusting to urban society, within the City of Selkirk, Manitoba, RM of St. Andrews and RM of St. Clements. The Centre is the primary organization serving the Indigenous population within the area. Established in 1968 it began with the goal of securing equality of rights for all people, and has continued to serve in manners that adjust and adapt to the changing needs of our urban Indigenous population. The Selkirk Friendship Centre is well known for its ability to provide a stable and consistent form of service.


Society for Enterprise Education and Development (SEED NS)
Nova Scotia

The Society for Enterprise Education and Development (SEED) delivers the Youth Employability Program(YEP) to support youth connected to the Department of Community Services in order to support them in connecting with employment, education and training opportunities. Using a strength based, asset based approach, SEED supports youth to explore and create opportunities so they can achieve whatever goals are important to them.

The Société de l’Acadie du Nouveau-Brunswick (SANB), or Acadian Society of New Brunswick, is the official political representation structure of Acadian and Francophone communities living within the province. It is dedicated to the defense and promotion of the rights and interests of Acadians, Francophones, and Francophiles. The SANB is comprised of a democratically elected board, and its president is the organization’s official spokesperson. The SANB has a broad focus, and its core values are of openness, transparency, and inclusion. The SANB is a grassroots, member driven organization, that also seeks to foster collaboration between different organizations within the Acadian civil society.

Street Culture Project
Saskatchewan

Street Culture Project is a diverse and closely tied community foundation that provides programs and services to Regina and surrounding areas. Trauma informed practices, diversity, and inclusion are key pillars of the organization. SCP offers a number of programs and services to address the current gaps in youth services including an emergency youth shelter, housing, mentorship and employment programs.


Sunshine House
Manitoba

Sunshine House is a community drop-in and resource centre focusing on harm reduction and social inclusion. We work to provide programming that fulfills people’s social, community, and recreational needs. Participants can come as they are, and are not expected to be “clean” or sober.


Syrian Canadian Foundation

SCF aims to empower newcomers and people of diverse backgrounds while promoting cross-cultural exchanges within Canadian society.


TCLI Foundation
Alberta

TCLI Foundation (Towunmi Coker Literary Initiative Foundation) is a registered non-profit organization in Canada focused on building healthy communities and providing solutions to mitigate against existing community gaps by providing educational and social programming with three core foundational pillars – financial stability, quality education and safe health practices.


The Open Door Community Youth Network (CYN)

The YLSBC encourages youth to register and pursue the Duke of Edinburgh's Award program, conducts leadership camps and workshops to enhance leadership skills, runs public speaking coaching programs and public speaking contests among youth, and provides other programs and learning opportunities to further the leadership skills of youth.

The Youth Restorative Action Project (YRAP) is a Youth Justice Committee founded and run by Edmonton youth. YRAP is mandated to work with young people who have caused harm while being affected by a variety of significant social issues such as intolerance, racism, substance abuse, homelessness, family violence, and prostitution. Our vision is to provide a relationship-based, holistic environment that uses an autonomous and youth-centered voice as authentic and sustainable change is the responsibility of both the individual and the community.

We take statements like "youth-driven" and "youth led" to a new level. Our credibility to practice what we say enables us to authentically build trust with our demographic. We engage youth creatively using the arts as a positive engagement tool. Creative expression is embedded in all iHuman programming as a therapeutic medium to address trauma and wellbeing, foster connection to cultural identity, and create belonging and opportunities for skills development and therefore self-worth. We represent the work that we do using a "trust compass" to denote the individualized journey that we enable for each young person.
